Cycle Paths
Cycle paths are components of infrastructure that are designed to facilitate the safe passage of cyclists. Within an urban environment, new cycle paths are typically designed to segregate cyclists from other road traffic, with the aim of increasing safety and encouraging the wider use of this mode of travel. And, if constructed using the same principles as a permeable pavement, they can also provide significant surface water management benefits with the use of a below-ground geocellular system, substituting typical sub-base material.
