Tuesday 20th December 2016
With the festive season just around the corner, naturally people start to wind down and look forward spending Christmas with loved ones. For Polypipe, Christmas is a time for reflecting on a year of giving back to the local community.
Since 2013, Polypipe Civils has chosen the local Loughborough based charity, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, as one of its dedicated company charities. Throughout the years, Polypipe has stuck by Rainbows and have helped them raise vital funds to continue supporting terminally ill children and their families. Through a series of both internal and external company fundraising events, Polypipe have been able to raise over £30,000 over the last four years.
Since it opened its doors in 1994, Rainbows has provided palliative care and support for children, young people and their families facing life limiting conditions. The continued support of local companies such as Polypipe have helped Rainbows to expand the hospice facilities to support even more families through difficult times.
On 14th December, Polypipe made their annual visit to Rainbows to present the children with a generous hamper of arts and crafts.
Over the years, Polypipe have put their best foot forward and taken part in cycling challenges to Paris, across Ireland and a 367-mile cycle ride in Belgium.
