Changes to Our Chamber Ranges - Introducing the IC450

There have recently been some significant updates to the Polypipe Building Products Chamber range. As we gear up for the launch of our innovative IC450 range, we want to ensure that our merchant stockists and end users are fully informed and prepared for these forthcoming changes.

Our forthcoming IC450 range of bases, risers and adaptors representa leap forward in chamber technology and enables a significant range consolidation. To provide you with a comprehensive overview of the range, you can download our datasheet below.

Key changes to our product line:
- Complete replacement: The IC450 range will completely replace our existing SFARB 450mm and ICDB/SFA 460mm chamber ranges starting in April
- Two new push fit 110mm & 160mm bases for use with underground smoothwall pipe, 160mm sockets convertible to 150mm Polysewer using PS6102 adaptor or 150mm SuperSleve® Clay using UG659 adaptor
- Designed to meet stringent industry standards, regulations and guidance - including:
- BS EN13598-2:2020
- Sewerage Sector Guidance for England (Appendix C - Design and Construction Guidance) for Type D inspection chambers up to 3m depth
- Sewers for Adoption 7 (Wales) for Type 3 non-entry inspection chambers with a maximum depth of 3m in vehicle loading areas.
- Sewers for Scotland V4.0
- Building Regulations - Part H1
- NHBC Standards 2025
- Maximum installation depth is 6m in non-adoptable applications where the groundwater height above the invert of the base is no more than 3m
Timeline and stock information
The IC450 range will launch in April 2025
Discontinuation of the SFARB 450mm and ICDB/SFA 460mm chamber ranges will begin shortly after the IC450 launch, likely during April
Please note that due to existing stock levels, it may take several months for the complete discontinuation of all affected SKUs
